About

Chloe is an artist, writer and researcher.

Her art explores themes of environmental change, care and relationships between humans and nature. She often works in collaboration with other people, from professional artists to workshop participants. Her primary medium is collage - both analogue and digital. At home, she encourages her two young children to scribble and play with her collection of materials, and she uses their art in much of her recent work.

Chloe’s research is central to her creative practice. She holds honours degrees in arts (art history) and science (psychology), for which she received two university medals. She completed her PhD between UNSW Art & Design and the Black Dog Institute as a Scientia scholar.

She is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Black Dog Institute and a Research Associate of Maridulu Buydari Gumal SPHERE, where she publishes, presents, and leads creative workshops about the connections between climate change and mental health.

Her writing appears in academic journals, books, and literary and art magazines.

Chloe is passionate about the potential of art as a tool for advocacy and as an agent of change.
